Microwave Cooking

Clients often ask, whether cooking with microwaves is dangerous.  There are several issues,

  • the emission of microwaves by the oven
  • the impact of microwaves on the food
  • the highly processed nature of the food that is manufactured for microwave cooking

Apparently, blood is thawed in microwave ovens in hospitals.  At a frequency of 2.4 GHz this is working, but at 2.6 GHz, the blood becomes useless.  Kitchen ovens, fortunately, work at 2.4 Ghz!   However, this fact demonstrates that microwaves are not to be taken lightly.  There has been research indicating that they actually do alter our blood.
